The Doganaccia is an important station of the Central Appennino, located upstream of the charming Medieval village of Cutigliano. Since the month of December changes the landscape, offering winter sports lovers 15km of slopes where you can practice skiing and snowboarding, an area dedicated to sledging, as well as numerous trails that wind through beech woods and wide open spaces where to practice skiing mountaineering, snowshoeing, snow kiting and paragliding.

The Doganaccia also boasts the largest area of ​​illuminated slopes of the Central Apennines: 6km of slopes served by two ski lifts and a track approved for alpine skiing competitions.

The ski slopes offer a perfect snowfall, both for the support of the very modern snowmaking system programmed for 90% of the area, and for the scrupulous work of the “snowcats” that from closing the plants and until late at night they work to perfect the slopes that will host skiers the next day.

The resort can be reached by car and park in the immediate vicinity of the slopes, or using the Cutigliano-Doganaccia cableway car that the panoramic eight minutes leads directly to the center of the area and services: rental, ski and snowboard school, shelters.

Near the cableway, there are the small church, the Bicocca refuge and the Campo Scuola, served by the homonymous ski lift and a free beginners’ treadmill.

At Rifugio Bicocca you can savor typical Tuscan cuisine in the restaurant, eat sandwiches and focaccias at the bar, or let yourself be delighted by the fantastic fresh cakes made by the expert hands of our cooks.

The offer is completed with environments ideal for relaxation on the slopes, such as Rifugio del Viandante, located at the start of the Faggio di Maria ski lift, where you can find refreshment on cold days and a large solarium on the terrace overlooking the Faggio di Maria slopes , Direttissima and Due.

The refuge is also accessible by foot from the parking lot below.

With the opening of the 2016/2017 winter season, the new “Faggio di Maria” ski lift starts up, and its relocation has made it possible to expand the spaces around the Rifugio del Viandante, an ideal place for relaxation and where you can find refreshment on cold days. and a large solarium on the terrace overlooking the Faggio di Maria, Direttissima and Due slopes. The refuge is also accessible by foot from the parking lot below.

Throughout the winter season many events are organized in which both adults and children can participate: Christmas lunch, the classic torchlight procession, the New Year’s Eve dinner, the befana for the little ones are just a few examples. On the program there are also several sporting events including ski races of the regional circuit, snowshoeing both day and night, and much more.
