The snow fell in the last hours starts the winter season and, after a first taste last weekend, from Thursday 20 December the Doganaccia will be open every day to welcome skiers, sportsmen and lovers of snowy mountains.
The Campo scuola, 1, 2, 3 and Faggio di Maria slopes will be open. The slopes can be reached by the cableway leaving from Cutigliano, which in a few minutes takes you up to 1600 meters. For each update on further openings, visit http://doganaccia2000.it/impianti-piste/
In addition to the natural snow of these days, 40 cannons are also in use for programmed snowmaking. In the ski area there are 10 ski slopes of various difficulty levels. 15 kilometers and 4 lifts in total: a cableway, two ski lifts and a carpet, which from this winter has a coverage of 70 meters long. Safety and rescue in Doganaccia are guaranteed by the Ski Patrol and Misericordia.
Finally, after a full day of activity on snow between skiing, snowboarding snowshoeing and orienteering, what could be better than enjoying the Tuscan flavors? Bicocca’s and Viandante’s Rafuges offers menus with local products; there are also two special events for Christmas lunch and New Year’s Eve dinner on December 31st.
